Sausage Pie

Why recepie famous for?

A cheap and easy way to jazz up the humble sausage.

Ingredients

2 tsp olive oil
1 brown onion grated
6 sausage thin
2 zucchini grated
1 carrot grated
1 cup cheese grated
1/2 cup plain flour
1 1/2 cup milk
3 egg

Instructions

Preheat oven to 160C.
Grease a 4 cm x 18 cm x 25 cm baking dish.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add onion and cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes or until soft. Set aside in a bowl.

Add sausages to frying pan. Cook, turning for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.
Set aside to cool for 5 minutes, then thinly slice.
Arrange sausages, onion, carrot, zucchini and cheese over base of baking dish.
Whisk flour and milk in a bowl until smooth. Add eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk to combine and pour over sausages.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until set. Stand for 5 minutes before serving.
