Rice With Jaggery

Why recepie famous for?

While this is the perfect season to start binging on jaggery or gur, it makes for a great time to make some sweets and savouries using jaggery that can be delectable and healthful at the same time.

Ingredients


Rice 1 cup

Jaggery 1 cup

Water 1 ½ cup

Fennel seeds 1 tsp

Green cardamoms 2

Raisins 50 grams
Coconut ¼ cup grated

Pistachios 2 tsp

Oil ¼ cup

Instructions


• Par-boil rice with fennel seeds and green cardamoms.

• In a separate pot cook jaggery, water and oil till it becomes a thick syrup.

• Add rice in the syrup, mix and keep on dum.

• After 10 to 12 minutes remove from flame.

• Serve delicious rice with jaggery garnished with raisins,

coconut and pistachio
