Ingredients

Fish masala ingredients:
20 Red chilies whole
2 tbsp Coriander seeds
2 tbsp Cumin seeds
2 tbsp Fennel seeds
3 tbsp Split chickpea
1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
8-10 Curry leaves
3 tbsp Turmeric powder
Ingredients for marination:
1 kg Fish
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp Carom seeds
1/2 cup Yogurt
1 Egg
1 tbsp Turmeric powder
3 tbsp Corn flour
1 tbsp Red chili powder
Ingredients for salan:
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Masala mix
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1/2 cup Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2-3 Green chilies (chopped)
1/2 cup Tomato puree
3 tbsp Corn flour
5 tbsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 egg

Instructions

Directions for fish masala:
In a pan dry roast red chilies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves, split chickpea, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds.
Grind all dry roasted item well, then add turmeric in it and your masala is ready.
Directions for fish salan:
In a bowl add eggs, carom seeds, red chili powder, lemon juice, corn flour, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and yogurt.
Mix well and marinate for 4 to 6 hours. Then shallow fry fish and keep aside.
In a pan heat oil add onion, cumin seeds, green chilies and sauté for a minute.
Then add tomato puree, ginger garlic paste, salt, fish masala and remaining marinating mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
Then add fish and let it simmer on medium low flame for 10 to 15 minutes.
Garnish with coriander, green chilies and serve.
