Mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon.
How to prepare vanilla.
Heat frying pan. When hot, add 1 tablespoon butter. Reduce heat if butter starts smoking.
Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture for approximately 30 seconds on each side.
Place in pan. Cook for 1½-2 minutes per side until brown.
Add extra butter to pan, as needed.
Place toast on plate, dust with icing sugar. Serve with butter and warm maple syrup.
