Ingredients


1 kg Bottle gourd
1 cup Split chickpeas
1 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
1 cup Onion (chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tbsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Black pepper powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
2 tbsp Green chilies
Green coriander for garnish

Instructions

Soak lentil for 3 to 4 hours then boil it in water with half teaspoon turmeric until 70% done. Strain and set aside.
Take pan heat oil, add onion and cook until translucent. Then add ginger garlic paste and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Then add tomatoes, salt, half teaspoon turmeric, red chili powder and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
Then add bottle gourd and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add water as required.
Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until bottle gourd is fully cooked.
Then add lentil, black pepper, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder then cook for 3-4 minutes.
When its fully cooked garnish with green chilies, coriander and serve with parathas.
