Gulzaar Special Biryani

Ingredients

Rice ½ kg

Chicken 750 gms

Potato 3


Tomato 3


Plum 1 cup


Onion 2


Yogurt 1 cup


Lemon 2


White cumin 1 tsp

Black cumin ½ tsp

Red chili crushed 1 ½ tbsp

Whole garam masala as required

Garam masala 1 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp

Coconut powder 4 tbsp

Saffron as required

Food color as required


Green coriander ½ bunch

Mint ½ bunches>
Green chili 5

Clarified butter 1 cup

Salt as required

Instructions

For rice:

First boil water in a pan and add salt and cumin in it.

When smell starting to come add rice in it and half boil it.

For Qorma:
First heat up oil in a pan and add whole garam masala in it.

When it cooks a little add onion and cook it till it become brown.

Now add chicken and ginger garlic paste and cook it.

Now put yogurt, green chili, potato, red chili, garam masala powder and black cumin and cook it well.
Add coconut, plum and tomato and mix it well.

And cook it for 5 to 6 minutes. Qorma is ready.

For preparing layers:

First place a layer of qorma.


Now put half of rice on it.

Then again put layer of qorma and green coriander, mint and coconut powder and put remaining rice and put saffron and food color on top and in the end ½ cup clarified butter and covered it to cook.

Now garnish it with lemon slice.
