Low-Fat Banana Bread

Why recepie famous for?

Light banana bread, which is nice as is or toasted. I have been experimenting with this recipe trying to use only a minimal amount of butter and no sugar.

Ingredients

2 cups self-raising flour
1/2 cup Splenda sugar substitute
2 eggs lightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 tbs butter melted
3 tbs golden syrup
3 bananas mashed

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180C.
Place flour and sweetener in a large bowl.
Combine eggs, milk, butter and syrup in another bowl.
Add egg mixture and banana to the flour and mix well.
Pour mixture into a loaf tin lined with baking paper and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
