Ingredients

400g Mutton mince
3 tbsp Oil
1 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1 & 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Red chili powder
3 Onion (chopped)
1/2 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
1 cup Coriander
Ingredients for dough:
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp Salt
2 cup All-purpose flour
Water as required
Melted butter as required
2-3 tbsp Milk
Nigella seeds as required
Ingredients for afghani tomato chutney:
3 Tomatoes (roasted)
7-8 Green chilies
1 cup Coriander fresh
1/4 cup Lemon juice
1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions

In a frying pan heat oil add mince and cook a bit.
Add salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder and mix.
Add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Then add tomatoes, fresh coriander and set it aside.
Directions for dough:
In a bowl add flour, salt, yeast and knead a soft smooth dough by adding water gradually. Let it proof for 30 minutes.
Spread the dough on a sheet, roll it in thick long pipe and cut of 3 to 4 equals parts.
Assembling:
Roll out each part into a thin sheet, spread melted butter, cooked mince and coriander evenly and roll it to make a disc shape.
Flatten it by using your hands, take milk in a bowl, brush it on top and sprinkle some nigella seeds.
Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degree until golden brown.
Brush melted butter again after taking it out of the oven.
Directions for chutney:
In a blender, blend tomatoes, chilies, coriander, lemon juice and salt.
Your chutney is ready to serve with fateer.
Preparation Time:10 – 15 minutes
Cooking Time:35 minutes
Serve:4-5 persons
